Pernix achieved over 1 million safe man-hours on the New US Embassy Compound and Controlled Access Area Project in Suva, Fiji

“… safety training programs were implemented at the outset of the project advancing the skills of local tradesmen in subjects such as the proper use of personal protective equipment, standards for working in confined spaces, and safety measures for working on elevated platforms. These skills will remain in Fiji after project completion and will be a source of benefit to the local construction industry as well as local families because of the marked reduction in construction safety related incidents. The project recorded a significant milestone in safety excellence with over 1,000,000 worker-hours logged without a disabling injury [a first for a construction project of this size in Fiji].”
