New technology, environmental considerations, homeland security, fuel volatility, increasing demand-side management and an aging grid are just some of the factors influencing how power generation is changing. Pernix is responding to the current market with a more flexible, non-traditional approach to power generation EPC and O&M services.
Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC)
We look at EPC from the client’s perspective, providing varied solutions to fit their projects’ financing, budget and operational goals. We specialize in small (under 100 MW) projects perfectly suited to the industry’s need for flexible power, inside the fence applications, renewable, and decentralized power sources; Pernix forms strategic partnerships with other firms to execute larger sized projects. We execute projects by building teams of engineers and subcontractors to fit the needs of the project – technologically, regionally and financially. This allows us to maintain lower overhead costs and pass these savings onto our clients through competitive pricing. Pernix has and is open to performing EPC services under a variety of contracting arrangements to suit these needs including reimbursable, open book, fixed price, and even build-own-transfer.
Operations & Maintenance (O&M)
Our O&M services are non-traditional, too. We provide personalized services to our O&M customers. In addition to our highly qualified and experienced on-site field staff members, Pernix’s corporate office team is comprised of veteran power generation industry professionals with owner-operator resumes. As a smaller company, our office staff is able to be more hands on in the support of our field O&M teams and is focused on the continuous optimization of the power plants we operate.
